Tanjung, which is located on the shore of Lake Toba about 61 km from Pematang Siantar and 109 km from Medan, can be reached by public transportation. The road condition is good.
Tanjung Unta is a place which looks like a resting camel and its beautiful bay has an amazing natural panorama. Recreational activities that can be done in this area are:
walking, camping, swimming, water skiing, fishing, and canoeing. The name Tanjung Unta was given by the first vice-president of Indonesia, Mohammad Hatta.
