Gomo
In Gomo, in the village of Tendrum Baho there is megalith stone (Magetlith Situs) dated from 3,000 - 5,000 BC. It is estimed that this stone is the oldest in Indonesia. It is very popular for its tall architectural style and engraved structures.
There are various patterns and symbols of traditional Nias beliefs engraved on the monument. This ancient monument has attracted archeoIogists from all over the world who want to do research in this area.
According to people from Nias, Gomo was their anchestors came from and from here the megalith spread all over Nias. You can go part of the way to Gomo by car from Teluk Dalam.
After that you must walk another 8 km. It is a relatively tiring trip but it will be an interesting walk because along the way one can see the amazing traditional Hiliniawalo Mazingo and Situs Megalith Tetegewo.
