Rafting down the Wampu River
An adventurous activity in Langkat is rafting down the Wampu River. Trips can be organized from Bukit Lawang or by a travel bureau from Medan.
The information about the rafting trip is provided in the Bahorok River Visitor's Centre which was founded by the Corporation of PHPA, Frankfurt Zoological Society and WWF. Tourists can also get information about the condition in the forest, the mini-library, mini-exhibition and other interesting souvenirs. At night, the Bahorok Visitor Centre has videos of orangutan and other jungle wildlife. The showings are free.
