The Grand Mosque

The Grand Mosque and Maimoon Palace are part of the legacy left by the Deli Sultan. This Mosque is still used for prayers today. Some ornaments and materials were brought from Italy. Many tourists from various countries in the world have visited this mosque.

It is the biggest and most beautiful mosque in North Sumatra. It was built in 1906 by Sultan Makmum Al Rasyid, and first used on 19 September 1909. It is about 200 meters from Maimoon Palace. The architecture belongs to the Moorish style.
