CLIMATE
The climate of North Sumatra , just like other areas in Indonesia, is tropical. There are two seasons ; i.e., the dry season (February to August) and the rainy season (September to January). The rainfall varies from one region to another between 1000 mm and 4000 mm per year, with the temperature between 22° C - 30° C. The temperature in mountainous regions; such as, Karo Regency, North Tapanuli, and Dairi is lower than the average temperature throughout the rest of North Sumatra.
